I have this book myself and would highly recommend it!  It's a great detailed guide on many types of candles and techniques.  I also really enjoyed the little extra tips and info tidbits in the side columns.  I've personally met the author, Betty, and helped contribute some info for her revised addition that will be coming out soon.  If you could only have a few books in your candlemaking library, I'd say this should be one of them!

This is an excellent guide to candlemaking. It is packed full with projects on just about every sort of candlemaking, from dipping and rolling to stained glass and whipping. The projects are well layed out, with clear instructions and photos, all very easy to follow. In this respect it is a good book for beginners, however I would also recommend it to more experienced candlemakers who want to try different techniques. There are also dozens of photos of beautiful candles in the gallery that will inspire anyone.

I have owned this book for quite awhile and I would definately recommend it.  Although not as new as some others on the market, it is a nicely detailed guide covering several types of candles, equipment, supplies and troubleshooting.  And you can't beat the price!

Surrounding the projects is information about materials (whether beeswax, paraffin, or stearin) and equipment (a stainless steel double boiler will suffice, along with some other inexpensive tools) at the beginning and an awesomely artistic gallery of commercial foreign-manufactured lights. A starter hobby that's great for rainy and sunny days. A troubleshooting guide and a glossary are appended.  Also available in Paperback.

I recieved this book as a gift and, although I haven't read thru the entire book yet, I find it to be worth having.  It contains very nice color photos of candles and several pieces of candlemaking equipment.  It doesn't seem to have the most detailed instructions as some others, but has many great creative ideas and is a good source of inspiration.

I do not own this book yet, but I have had the opportunity to look thru it and I would recommend it.  It is a very nicely organized instruction book with good color photos and lots of good advice on several types of candles and ideas for their use.

For sheer visual impact, it's pretty hard to beat Miranda Innes's impressive book, in which glorious color is set off dramatically against the white pages. Here are all types of candles, including beeswax, decorated, Christmas, and floating varieties, plus many types of holders. The section on decorating with candles offers beautiful tableaux of candles used in country, romantic, classic, ethnic, and contemporary settings. The final chapter features step-by-step instructions for making dipped, molded, rolled, scented, pressed-flower, and painted candles.
